Lives Display
We’ve had excellent feedback in the play sessions regarding lives, except for one request that comes up frequently. The counter isn’t updated when players leave/join a team, and when you’re team can double in size over the course of a map, that’s not great.
One idea was to change the life counter, adding/removing lives as players joined/left a team. But how many lives should be added/removed when there’s 10 minutes left on the timer? Not the full amount, obviously. It also makes it unclear how long the team has left to survive.
We’ve settled on something slightly different. The life counter now works on percentages, allowing us to hide how many lives a team has currently. This means we can take away more than one life for each death, based on the amount of players on the team.
When the team has just 5 lives left, the life count is then shown, and each death costs 1 life. There’s also a warning in chat when they reach 5 lives to warn everyone. Hopefully this should add some tension when a team only has a few lives left.
Please let us know what you think of this change! There’s probably a bit of fine-tuning on the numbers for this one.
New Map - Edoras
“Edoras was the capital of Rohan that held the Golden Hall of Meduseld.”
Originally made by the Conwy build team, and reimagined by Jephrey, Edoras has been added! It’s an assault map between the Rohirrim and Uruk-Hai, with three team kits, two for Rohirrim, one for Uruk-Hai. It’s got six capturable flags, THREE rams, plus one breach based on a captured flag and two ballista.
Oh, and it's got a secret. Enjoy!

We take great care when deciding to remove something, to see if it can be reworked rather than removed as players have grown attached to kits and potentially spent money because of them.
