Voting & Pounds

This week’s been a bit busier, so there’s not as much on the plugin side of things, but I’m still making progress!

Voting

Special enough to get it’s own section! Voting is really important to the server as it allows us to rise up server lists and make the server known to more people. When we changed over to the new host, all the voting sites needed to be updated to point to the new host, which took far longer than we’d have liked (life’s annoying like that sometimes). However, it’s now done! You should get the correct rewards from voting, and they should now stay when you relog (until they expire). Please do vote as often as you can (check the list of sites here)! Let us know if you encounter any issues!

Shop Currency

Previously, the shop operated in EUR. As of today, the shop now operates in GBP. The prices have not been changed to match this currency update, however the goal has been. This does mean all prices have effectively increased by 20%, and we’re sorry we’ve had to make this change.


Sadly this has come about due to an issue with payment processors and exchange rates. Ideally when I took over I'd have kept this the same, but going from EUR to GBP at my end of the purchase is costly and not an easy process. It would also mean buying from the UK (or other non-EUR country) would go GBP -> EUR -> GBP, which is costly as each change of currency has a cost.

Rankpoints will now be granted at £1 (GBP) = 1 Rank Point. Previously granted RP will be unaffected.

  • Added a new level advancement (not obtainable) to tease content after level 40
  • Added option to define global kit limits in config
    • A command will be added to do this during play.
  • Renamed Dwarvern Overseer to Overseer.
  • Enabled all Voter kits
  • Enabled all staff kits
  • Enabled all level kits
  • Enabled Arbalester, Abyssal, Artillerist & Elytrier kits
    • I’m still working on restoring functionality of the rest of the sign kits
  • Added Kit Descriptions (displayed in buykit & preview GUIs) for the following:
    • Abyssal

    • Artillerist

Updated map to newer version, includes signs to direct to flags!

Moria

  • Removed Dwarvern X-Bow Dwarves team
  • Added Arbalester to Dwarves team

Balanced

Arbalester

  • Removed arrow knockback. - In addition to having punch on the bow, the arrow had knockback NBT applied. In 1.21 this should be applied only be the weapon.

Fixed

  • Fixed text formatting for booster granted messages from level ups.
  • Fixed toggling chat mode

Removed

We take great care when deciding to remove something, to see if it can be reworked rather than removed as players have grown attached to kits and potentially spent money because of them.

  • Removed Dwarvern X-Bow.
    • We felt it wasn’t well-defined compared to Crossbowman & Arbalester.
    • There are a few ideas for another style of crossbow kit, but it’s unsure if they should be a brand new kit instead.
