Closing Ko-Fi

As of this announcement, you will no longer be able to subscribe to/renew a membership on our Ko-Fi. Donations are still available until we’re prepped for release and will still award rank points. A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported us, either monetarily, liked/commented on our posts or simple read them!

Why?

Thanks to an exciting change yesterday, Castle Siege is in a playable state. That is, if we wanted to open the server today, we could. However, we don’t want to. There are a couple big things we still want to add, as well as many smaller things. We’ve got to do quite a bit of bug testing and polishing to make sure that when new users join it’s all a positive experience!

Ko-Fi has worked for us as a platform for putting out the weekly updates but for Minecraft donations there isn’t any integration. So, we’ll be looking for another platform (to be announced) for making donations to the server.

What’s next?

Up to and including the 29th July there will still be Squire+ Ko-Fi posts. We will also continue to make 3-month-old posts public. During this last period, if you have ever supported ConwyMC through Ko-Fi, you will also be able to view all posts with just a one-week delay. You will also still be able to donate via our Ko-Fi page prior to the server’s release and the opening of a server store.

When’s the full release?

So, in the Ko-Fi coming free today, I explained what my plans were ~3 months ago. A lot of this has changed since, sadly the build server will not be here when the server releases. Anyway, the plans are once the Ko-Fi closes to have a semi-regular testing session to make sure the server’s working well and meets the level of polish we want upon release. This will be your last chances to earn the V4 title so make sure to keep an eye out!

We have a release date in mind, but we’re keeping it to under wraps for now so we don’t disappoint. Keep your eyes peeled for the first event on our Discord
